The Women’s A Series Volleyball league has made official the calendar of the Promotion Pool of the A2 Tigotà Championship 2024/25. CBF Balducci HR will start on Sunday 16 February on the field of Itas Trentino, debuting at home in the midweek of Wednesday 19 February: the Salento team Narconon Volley Melendugno will arrive at Fontescodella. The last day of the Promotion Pool will be on Saturday 29 March, on the field of Futura Giovani Busto Arsizio, already the scene of the Coppa Italia challenge last December.
The teams ranked 1st to 5th in each group have qualified for the Promotion Pool. Each team will face the 5 teams from the other group in home and away matches for a total of 10 days. All the points obtained in the Regular Season will be kept, with the following initial ranking: San Giovanni (46), Busto Arsizio (43), Messina (42), Macerata (42), Trento (38), Brescia (32), Cremona (32), Padova (31), Melendugno (31) and Costa Volpino (29).
The winner of the Pool is promoted directly to A1 Series. The teams from 2nd to 5th position in the Promotion Pool will access the Promotion Playoffs and will face each other in the semifinals to be played in the best of three games with pairings 2nd-5th and 3rd-4th. The winners of the semifinals will always face each other in the best of three games in the final that will give the right to the second Promotion slot, with the possible Game 3 scheduled for the last weekend of April.
